DualTherm 'Solar'
The recent hot summers have shown quite plainly how important effective solar control can be. As their name suggests, solar control glasses help to control the amount of solar energy that enters a building. Glass controls solar radiation by reflectance, transmittance and absorptance.
Solar control glasses save money by reducing the amount of energy used by heating and air conditioning systems and improve comfort levels inside the building by controlling indoor temperatures and light levels.
Solar control can be achieved in a number of ways which includes body tinted glass, coated glass, laminated glass with tinted interlayers and Dual Seal insulating glass units incorporating integral blinds.
The DualTherm ‘Solar’ range incorporates a wide variety of glasses which when used in combination with the performance of a low-E coating offers a competitive solution to the reduction of solar heat gain and improved thermal insulation. This in turn equates to lowered air conditioning and heating costs, thus preserving the environment.
The majority of these products are ex stock and available in toughened, laminated and annealed form.
